Abstract
Periodontitis is an inflammatory condition of the supportive tissues surrounding the teeth that affects people of all ages worldwide. Periodontal infection was managed using a variety of therapeutic methods. In the treatment of such disorders, many successful approaches such as mechanical debridement of plaque and topical and systemic administration of antibacterial drugs are used. Antimicrobials that can be administered locally include metronidazole, chlorhexidine, doxycycline, and tetracycline.
